From Jet Lag to Jet Black (formerly the End Club) which was the setting for Adil’s next invitation only "Miss You x" party on Sat 4 Dec which was a bit of a Xmas cracker.
A merry throng of friends, acquaintances and mischief makers including actors Keeley Hawes (Life On Mars) and Marc Warren (The Hustle) and 80s pop stars Siobhan Fahey (Shakespeares Sister) and Marco Pironni (Adam & The Ants) came to see actor Paul Kayes (aka Dennis Pennis) latest alter ego - the hilarious and very rude Mike Strutter and his band performing a short sharp shock of expletive filled Stooges classics.
Fine support came from up and coming beautiful burlesque singer Kim Lone and her band of minstrels and everyone bopped to the eclectic sounds of resident dj John Richmond taking a break from all things fashion, and guest Martin "Smashing" Green.
Adil and Jetlag hosted the “Miss You x” party last night at the Jetlag Bar in Fitzrovia, which was a bit of a corker!
Great turnout including Roger Taylor from Duran Duran, hot new NY model and Dj Leigh Lezark, the Blow fash PR crew and a lot of the old Met Bar crowd who were there to reconnect with old friends (hence name Miss You), and to witness a "fashion sound clash" between John Richmond and Percy Parker (of PPQ) on the dex, and Pam Hogg singing live. In fact JR on guitar joined Pam for a rousing off-the-cuff rendition of the Stooges "I wanna be your Dog" and "Waiting for the Man" - amazing!!!!
Hopefully next one, venue permitting, will be in time for Xmas with JR djing again and either actor Paul Kayes band playing or cult Parisien singer LIO with the Freaksville posse from Belgium.

Satyen Kumar’s show was held in the Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden, as part of the Vauxhall fashion Scout sponsored series.
We used just three tracks for the show - Pet Shop Boys ‘Domino Dancing’ which we totally remixed especially for the show, Malcolm McClarens ‘Madam Butterfly’ and Dee-Lites ‘What Is Love’.
One of the problems when producing music for shows in the way that we do, is that our timings need to match the sets of clothes in the collection. In the case of this show, the catwalk was much shorter than anticipated, which meant that our mix of the music was far too long, and was out of step with the clothes the models were wearing!
Luckily we now run the shows off of a laptop computer. This allows us to alter the music right up until the last minute so that it is always totally in sync with the show.
August is always John’s womens show in Milan.
This show had an 80’s house music vibe with tracks by Calvin Harris, Neneh Cherry, Crystal Waters & Gino Latino.
Adil was also supposed to be DJing at the opening party for the new shop in Paris, but unfortunately the building works were a little behind schedule, and a more sedate affair had to be arranged last minute!
We stepped in last minute to provide the music for PPQ’s show in London Fashion Week.
The show was held in the old post office sorting room on New Oxford Street, with an aftershow party at the Mayfair hotel. Sponsorship was by Adidas, Nokia and Harvey’s.
Celebs were out in force, including Peaches Geldof, Alexa Chung and Chloe Sevigny.
The music included classic tracks by Hendrix, Led Zep, The Yardbirds and The Primitives.

June see’s us finishing another set for John Richmonds Menswear Milan show.
This year the theme was Duran Duran and the collections were all named after songs.
We took their classic songs and again came up with more of our trademark deconstructed mixes.
